(See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chalcedony ) not "adventure". This refers to the glass making technique that was fortuitously found to make the gold version of aventurine: goldstone. <br /><br />The "real" aventurine, as in "the rock", does have chrome-mica as the sparkly bits.
