Most Canadian retail stores must buy from our One and Only Canadian Stained Glass Supplier, where they have added a U.S. Dollar Surcharge to all their prices.
We refrain from making any editorial comment and will just let the figures speak for themselves.
Surcharges are as follows:
Oct. 15, 2008- (dollar at .845 cents)- surcharge is 7.9%
May 29, 2009- (dollar at .916 cents)- surcharge is 16.0%

Hey! Unbelievable! I wish I had a choice. I guess that's why they can get away with it ripping us off. But it will catch up with them I think.
Would be nice to see one of the American companies come up here and clean up!

I think that your one and only supplier is taking his lessons from the oil companies!

Funny, it hasn't been Oct. 2009 yet where I live...
But yes it is usurious, and I wish they'd get some vaseline

I guess that is why they had to extend there year end by 3 months. It is obvious that people are not spending the money they usually do. In all fairness Mikey they did drop the surcharge June 1 to a very respectable 14%, When the Canadian dollar is at 91 cents. It is very strange that for years our dollar hovered around 90 cents and there was no surcharge then.
does anybody care that wee're getting ripped off here?
that we have a non-competitive situation that lets us get screwed? Anybody else have something to say?
Come on!
