A True Story Told Badly

Some really bad theatre as a commentary on the Canadian retailer's plight in trying to procur an appropriate level and selection of supplies...

Nice job! Did Zenia get her suit at the "David Byrne Haberdashery"?

Hello?? This is Sundance Festival. Yes... THE Sundance Festival. Really... No. Not Sunday Festival. SUNDANCE. No. We aren't selling subscriptions. We want your film. No. Not movie... FILM. Movies are, well, you know, flighty. Your work is a FILM. Artsy. Full of social and economic commentary. You can?? GREAT! My agent, Mr. G. Brown (esq.) will be in touch with you shortly!

Too bad it's a take off of the Cheese skit from Monty Python. Anyone can pretty much recreate something by using an already existing skit format.

Exactly right- I am sure that Mikey is so proud of you for recognizing that...
But I think you missed the part about using it as parody of a very real problem we all face

Oh my god! I wonder if Canada's only supplier will figure out who this is about...
... or sadder yet, they do and don't really care...

Toooooo funnneeeee!!!
Is it true that all those items are really out of stock at your supplier? Perhaps some of the supplier's suppliers should look into what's this all about.

Excellent editorializing

And I thought you were just doing an untypical bad job of keeping your supply levels up, now I understand that you have a supplier that sucks. Boy oh boy, how does your supplier sleep at night???

Mike, once again you've hit the nail on the head!
Kudos to you, thank God someone has the balls to say something about this pathetic situation that exists here in Canada. I wonder where are the suppliers to H? Don't Bullseye, Spectrum, Edco, Kokomo, Glastar, Venture, Inland and all the other suppliers you mention even know or care about the income they've lost as well as you, never mind what affect this has on the glass industry and its future?

P.S. come on everyone else in the business, how about voicing your support for Mike's outspokenness and efforts to shine a light on this situation that hurts us all! Just drop a note here like me- the anonymous function really does work- Ron E. will never know who I am and I'm in there buying quite often...

I'm just another customer of this one supplier we all have to deal with, but I'm really not that concerned. You see, it's obvious that they're in financial trouble and probably won't last much longer.

Don't you just love it that the distributer you speak of, that can't manage its own matters has the gall to give us advice on how to run our business with suggestions on how to improve your sales in the newsletter they send to us? Rereading a few old issues I see they like to tell us to make sure we have stock for all those home renos going on, and yet they don't have any stock themselves

Or discontinuing MNA, because they can't get a reliable delivery.

It's too bad that Anthony doesn't open a supplier. The only one there that actually feels bad to have to dissapoint his customers on a regular basis.

Now I get it!
A glass supplier bragging, yet having no supplies.
Hilarious!
But impossible.
Right?
What's that?
It's really true?

I'm pretty sure, in fact I KNOW of whom you speak. I was there not long ago and saw empty shelves and empty racks but funnily enough staff running around like ants on a hill. What were they all doing? Certainly not cleaning the dump-hole!.................BIG T.
PS, maybe a skit about that or maybe you don't have enough children.
