Bullseye Glass Discontinued

Boy oh boy, here's an entry where we have to seriously bite our tongue. Like shooting fish in a barrel, just too easy to make comments.
But for once, Mikey says take the high road. Sort of.
Our one and only Canadian glass supplier has just announced they will no longer carry Bullseye Glass!
That's right folks. No more catspaw opals. No fracture/streamers. No more 90 coe glass for fusing. All gone. No longer available here in Canada.
But you know what? To be honest, it really wasn't much of a surprise considering the very deep discounts they were offering prior to this announcement.
Also, it's not really much of a shock given the trend of OOCGS supplier steadily reducing their selection to where we might soon end up with only Spectrum and gluchip!
Look out Kokomo and Wissmach- you could be next...
We rerun a blog entry from the past in memory of the death of Bullseye Glass in Canada below...

John would be very disappointed! No more Aventurine Blue #1140 in Canada? Good thing he loved the US ... or maybe it was a bad thing, eh?

There are still plenty of Stained Glass stores carrying Bullseye in Canada - some even do wholesale.

Here's the thing... Bullseye will only list (advertise) the stores or teachers who sell ONLY Bullseye fusible.

I've been carrying a good selection of Bullseye fusible sheet, rods, frit, confetti, stringer etc for over 15 Years. I even teach with it.

However I am a storefront that sells all types of Art Glass Supplies.... including System 96.

Therefore Bullseye will not promote my store in any way... they will also only give me discounts based on my volume alone. The fact that I'm in busisness to sell supplies means nothing to them.

Check with your local stained glass supplier... likely they do have some Bullseye... most us buy it direct from them these days... not from the distributor you are referring to.

If your a store owner and buy direct from Bullseye, be prepared to only get 50% (regular wholesale) until you prove your yearly volume. I think the first discount is at 7,000 yearly (gets you 50% then less 8%).

I'm in Surrey, BC Canada. Sunlight Art Glass.

I've got lots of Bullseye glass. Not SG catspaw cause BE isn't making much in the way of SG glass anymore.
