New Store Hours

No longer applicable
What can we say?
Vanna Opal is not infallible (hope you learn to like the couch honey... Vanna).
We might have erred in being open four days a week.
People need supplies and want easier access to those supplies.
You see, the agonizingly slow demise of Hollander Glass had and still is having a detrimental effect on our industry. Many of our competitors sadly no longer exist and with still no glass distributor in place,  getting supplies is still difficult for some.
But not us.
Our inventory has never been larger.
And more varied.
And even cheaper.
And now easier to get!

New Hours

Wed ...... 10 am to 7 pm
Thur ...... 10 am to 7 pm
Fri ......... 10 am to 5 pm
Sat ........ 10 am to 4 pm

Haven't you heard that there's a new supplier in GeorgeTOWN. Or, actually, he's an old supplier in the old Kaleido building who's taken over where Hollander refused to go. So more power to him, that is if Mikey doesn't try to destroy him with his cutting and destructive words. Remember Mikey, you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. Sometime your words can come back and bite you in the ass. (Bet you won't print this rant) Eh??

Way to go Mikey. I love that you call it as it is. I have my suspicions on who made the comment above and think their motives are suspect.
In any case I stand by you with your comments on how we still have no 'full-line distributer' serving us here- someone carrying only 3 lines of glass, and in a limited fashion has no right to call himself a distributer and definately does not serve me,

Full line distributor? I think not. More like a poor version of a retailer given their low minimums and easy requirements to get 'best price'.

I have to wonder who wrote the first comment that you so bravely posted (hurray for free speech and free enterprise). Curious why they didn't have the parts to sign their name to it?

the original comment author should have added 'but you can't fool Mikey any of the time'

There's always the Glass Place in Montreal who have served me well since the demise of Hollander.

Question- if there is a distributor in Ontario now and Fantasy In Glass is unaware of their existence then why does Fantasy have the widest selection and largest inventory of any store?

The very first comment above seems to give too much insider knowledge making me suspect that if there really is some sort of supplier that it is he or she is the author of that comment,

Yah yah, blah, blah, but Mikey is ALWAYS HERE serving us and has an amazing selection and THE BEST customer service I have encountered in 20 plus years.

I was just catching up on your blog today Mike and saw this very interesting thread and felt the need to weigh in.
I don't read this blog to read bull@!#$, I read it because it is one of only too few that actually give the retailer's perspective. Being one myself, it's about time someone called out suppliers for their lack of concern, greediness, and if this top entry is from a wholesaler as I suspect it is, their bulliness. They must be very insecure of themselves if they think a good business move involves alienating potential customers,
